As London Fashion Week marks the end of summer we thought it was time to add a little sparkle and sunshine to MRM by holding the Summer R2: Recognise and Reward Awards Presentation.

There were lots of nominations for employees who had demonstrated outstanding service, dedication and solution creativity.

The lucky winners this month were from our B2B, IT and project team. The winners hot trotted down our awards catwalk (A.K.A the edge of the contact centre) to receive their prizes and get ‘papped’ for the MRM reception winners’ board.

Promotional Handling Company opens new print facility

Promotional handling house MRM has today had the grand opening of it’s new print facility. The new facility was opened by MRM Managing Director, Peter Kerr. Significant investments in both infrastructure and colour laser printers (including an Edgeline MFP) have recently been made which further demonstrate’s MRM’s commitment to the quality of its service in handling and fulfilment.

All hands to the deck with Generation Green…

UK schools have been keeping us busy recently with the ordering and fulfilment of more than 35,000 rewards to be sent to 3,000 schools as part of British Gas’ Generation Green schools programme. Responsible for the sourcing and management of all rewards, order fulfilment and customer services – we’ve all been hard at it – and even our MD Peter Kerr and Mel our Commercial Manager were seen in high vis vests labouring in the warehouse to pick and pack stock to support the Production team….we’re proud that it’s all hands to the deck when we get going!

I must confess to feeling a little hungover today…the reason for this? We were out yesterday at the Institute of Promotional Marketing’s inaugural COGS Awards – designed to recognise suppliers in the marketing services industry.

Coupons for Cash Losses

The ISP is taking legal advice against retailers that repeatedly redeem coupons from consumers who have not bought the product. The ISP is collecting examples of coupon misuse and will be taking advice from lawyers to establish whether retailers can be taken to court for allowing or even encouraging coupon misuse. They also need to know whether they could force retailers to only accept coupons redeemed against the manufacturer’s product.

Peter Kerr, who is the MD of MRM and Chairman of the ISP’s coupon committee, has said that he has recently dealt with 15 cases where individual stores had tried to claim back a higher value of coupons than the total value of product sales.
