HIGHCO ACQUIRES UK-BASED MULTI RESOURCE MARKETING GROUP (MRM)
HighCo has today finalized the purchase of 100% of Multi Resource Marketing (“MRM”), a UK-based below the line (BTL) marketing services provider.
MRM was founded in 1993 to provide a full range of marketing support services to major UK brands and organisations. MRM operates out of Market Harborough, Leicestershire and primarily offers tailored solutions using services such as promotional fulfilment, coupon clearing, promotion warehousing and logistics.
As an innovative company using leading edge technology to design and deliver cost effective solutions to its clients, MRM activities are complementary with HighCo Data division, which is already operating in France, Belgium, Spain, and soon to be in Central Europe.
MRM expected consolidated sales for the year ended on June 30rd, 2011 should be above £5m (around 5.5 M€).
MRM currently employs 120 people. This transaction does not impact management and the company remains under the leadership of founding managing director Peter Kerr.

If you ring into either MRM or Hive offices any time before 3pm please forgive any general wooliness or confusion. The reason? We’re still recovering from what has to be the best MRM and Hive varsity celebration ever yesterday. Hosted at The Ailsa Tavern, just down the road from Twickenham – there were 35 of us sneaking pegs of each other, checking which hand we were drinking with and having a good old chinwag over an awful lot of drinks.
I checked the bar bill this morning and was quite surprised to see that we’d drunk our way through 104 chilli sambucas alone last night- that now explains why we’re feeling a little sore in the head and hoarse I guess…
Thanks to our various guests from British Gas, IPC Media, Wax Communications, Hive, Crayon London, Heinz, Net Initiative (who flew down for the game, such is their commitment), Colgate, Kimberly Clark, Bausch & Lomb, BSH Appliances, the Institute of Promotional Marketing and all the other clients that took the time to spend the day and evening with us.

I must confess to feeling a little hungover today…the reason for this? We were out yesterday at the Institute of Promotional Marketing’s inaugural COGS Awards – designed to recognise suppliers in the marketing services industry.

To top it all, Marion Seeney was awarded third place for the Individual of the Year!
